Hotel Mario's is located in Florence near: Mercato Centrale (100 metres) – this iron and glass covered market was built in the 19th century, and now offers fruit and vegetable stands of every kind amid a bustling atmosphere of colour.

Borgo San Lorenzo (300 metres) – a typical Florentine atmosphere can be experience here, home to the Basilica and numerous Renaissance paintings and sculptures by the likes of Brunelleschi and Michelangelo. Next door is the Biblioteca Medicea, designed by Michelangelo to accommodate many precious papyrus and manuscripts.
